I bought this light for the backyard to increase safety measures/to keep an eye on the backyard. My wife and I have an indoor cat and noticed him hissing quite a lot, just to find coyotes were getting a little too comfortable coming up to the back fence every now and then. The amount of charge the lights hold and being able to set the light’s motion sensor sensitivity has been great for warding off those unwanted visitors. As for set up, I found it was decently easy and the product itself is weather-proof enough for any rainy day. I also like that you can set the amount of time the lights stay on.. between 10 and 60 seconds. This way you’re not using up the solar battery by having a light “on” all night and only when you really need it.

So far so good. I attached the light to the front of my garage to brighten up the driveway. The brightness is pretty high for what I expected. I played around with the solar panel placement and eventually ended up attaching it to the side of the house since that’s where more direct sunlight hits. (FYI if your lights seem dim, it’s probably because of the placement of that panel like mine.) The 17ft cord worked out like a charm and on top of that there’s no hardwiring necessary. The reach of the lighting is pretty far as well. Illumination basically reaches up to the edge of the sidewalk which is ideal for when I’m making trash runs.
